Every year the GVC participates in Project Clean Stream along with countless watershed groups in twelve counties in central Maryland and the Eastern Shore.
This year we need more volunteers than last year because we're hoping to double the number of cleanup sites in the Gunpowder area from 15 to 30.
To volunteer, go to this map of cleanup sites. Find a marker near where you live or work. Then click on the marker to see information on the location, date, start time, meeting place and how to contact the site captain. Then call or email the site captain to let them know you'd like to participate.
If you have a site in mind in the Gunpowder watershed that is not on our list yet, or if you'd like to volunteer as site captain, give us a call.
For more information on Project Clean Stream in other areas, please contact Kate Dowling at the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay.
