Here is your chance to get involved!
Fellow Earth Stewards and Friends of the
Gunpowder Valley Conservancy,
Are you interested in getting involved in tree plantings this fall?
Would you like to become a CREW CHIEF volunteer?
Would you like to become a CREW CHIEF volunteer?
What is a CREW CHIEF you may ask?
Well, you would be joining a fantastic group of great team leaders that
already assist the GVC. You would become a key volunteer who would help set up
the tree planting materials, take a group of 8-10 volunteers and teach them why
and how we plant trees, then oversee that your volunteers are doing the work
correctly throughout the tree planting day. And you would receive a short
training on how to be a Crew Chief.
Our
Crew Chiefs have done a fantastic job in the past and are wonderful people. It
is rewarding, dirty, and fun. Get involved and make a lasting positive impact to our environment.
You will definitely make new friends and make a difference helping student
and adult volunteers to learn more and care more about their natural
environment.
If you are interested in becoming a Crew Chief or want to learn more about the responsibilities of a Crew Chief, you may attend the Fall Crew Chief Meeting (There is no
commitment to become a Crew Chief by just attending) on September 18th, 7 pm at Charlie Conklin's
home at 4601 Copperwood Lane, Glen Arm, MD 21057.
Please let me know if you will be attending the meeting by email
or phone. If you cannot attend but wish to learn more about being a Crew Chief,
please contact me via phone at 410-668-0118.
Thank you for considering to become a Crew Chief for the Gunpowder Valley
Conservancy. I hope to see you at the Crew Chief meeting on Sept 18th.
Sincerely,
Peggy Perry
