Saturday, April 4, 2009

9:00 – 12 noon

Project Clean Stream, an annual stream and shoreline clean-up, takes place Saturday, April 4, 2009, 9am to Noon.  Sites range from across Central Maryland, the Gunpowder Watershed, and the Eastern Shore in urban, suburban, and rural settings.  Volunteers are needed to lead clean-ups as Site Captains and to help as general crew.  Choose your own site or pick one off the PCS list.

Gloves, bags, first aid supplies, and site signs are provided by the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay.  In 2008, over 3,000 volunteers collected over 180,000 lbs. of trash at more than 115 clean-up sites!

Sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Trust.  Partners include Gunpowder Valley Conservancy and other local watershed organizations and staff.
